Shedeur Sanders, the former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback, is months away from his rookie campaign in the National Football League.
The Browns wrapped up a successful draft weekend, welcoming seven rookies to the team. The fifth-round quarterback was easily the most notable.
As with any player, what they do off the field can affect them on the field.
Many players in the league might drink alcohol on their own time for various reasons. Shedeur Sanders is not one of those players.
Shedeur recently revealed that he has never drunk alcohol.
“Football is my choice of drug,” he reportedly said.

Shedeur Sanders might not see a single second on the field in the regular season, but if he continues to work hard, things could change drastically for him on the depth chart.
The Cleveland Browns Locker Room Seemingly Wants Shedeur Sanders
The Cleveland Browns selected two quarterbacks during the 2025 NFL Draft.
They selected Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel in the third round before selecting Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Their quarterback room now consists of Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Gabriel, Sanders, and Deshaun Watson.
The Browns have a lot of decisions to make on their quarterback depth chart, but it appears that star Cornerback Greg Newsome II has already made the decision.
He expressed admiration for Sanders:
“I like him because of the swagger, though. I just like a quarterback who’s got that. It factors in when you come in as a quarterback-if you come in with confidence and swagger.”
Tight end David Njoku added: “Let ’em all hate, fam. You know what you got in you!!”
Meanwhile, cornerback Denzel Ward took to X and wrote, “@ShedeurSanders Time to be legendary.”
