Washington Commanders fans may be reconsidering whether Carson Wentz was answer at quarterback after all.
The Commanders’ QB was the man during Week One, as he threw for an impressive four touchdowns during a victory over the Jags. But he has been terrible so far in Week Two, as he’s looked more like the guy that the Colts couldn’t wait to get rid of, rather than the Wentz that we say during his MVP-caliber season in 2017 — or the one we saw just one week earlier.
On Sunday, the Commanders tried to do a trick play, but they may have been better off letting somebody else throw the pass, because Wentz’s pass landed nowhere near his intended target.
Social media was not impressed by Wentz’s pathetic attempt, and they promptly roasted him for it.
At halftime, Wentz has completed 9 of 17 passes for 59 yards. Brutal. Hopefully he and the Commanders can figure things out by the start of the second half.
