Taylor Heinicke just had one of the worst quarters of his NFL career, and it was highlighted by a play that has drawn the ire of many people watching tonight’s Sunday Night Football matchup.
After opening with an interception and a punt on the team’s first two drives of the game, Heinicke threw his second pick of the game on drive number three. But it’s what he did afterwards that has people talking.
As Dallas Cowboys star Demarcus Lawrence returned the interception the other way, some noticed Heinicke’s odd, rather dangerous tackle attempt. It looked more like something that you’d see in a soccer game. Luckily, he totally whiffed, so no one was injured and Lawrence was able to take it to the house for six.

Not sure how the NFL will view this slide. It would be a surprise if they fined Heinicke for it, seeing has how he caught nothing but air. The least they should do is send him a video on how to properly tackle.
