FanDuel set the over/under for Smith’s receiving total at 52.5 yards. He finished the game with six receptions for 39 yards and one touchdown. The Commanders pulled off the 32-21 upset, handing Philly their first loss of the season.
On the final play of regulation, the Eagles attempted a lateral play. Quez Watkins lateraled the ball over to Smith, who wound up fumbling it. Casey Toohill of the Commanders recovered the football for six, putting a cherry on top of the team’s big win.
As a result of Smith losing 14 yards on the lateral play, FanDuel announced that they were refunding customers for straight bets, parlay, Same Game Parlays and Same Game Parlay Plus:
The Eagles committed a plethora of mistakes in their Week 10 loss. They turned the ball over four times and committed seven penalties for 75 yards. Just when it looked like Jalen Hurts and the offense would get the ball with about a minute and a half left, Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham committed a roughing the passer penalty after Taylor Heinicke gave himself up on the play.
The new set of downs allowed Washington to melt most of the clock, and they wound up winning by double-digits thanks to the late defensive touchdown.
Through nine games, the second-year wideout has 46 receptions for 481 yards and three touchdowns. Smith and offseason trade pickup, A.J. Brown, have formed one of the game’s most dynamic pass-catching duos.
It was undoubtedly a frustrating loss for the NFC East division leaders, but they’re still ahead of the Minnesota Vikings for the top seed in the NFC, as the Eagles hold the head-to-head tiebreaker thanks to their Week 2 victory.
