Steve Spurrier might know something that we do not at the moment.
The XFL may have a chance to return in the XFL, but under a new owner after the league filed bankruptcy earlier this year. If it does return for a 3rd time, Steve Spurrier is interested in coaching a team.
Spurrier told Josh Kendall of The Athletic that he would “probably do it” if the XFL offered him a job coaching a team in Florida.
Spurrier last coached the Orlando Apollos in the Alliance of American Football last year before the league quickly went under. The team had a league best 7-1 record and Spurrier was awarded a championship ring by his former employees.
The XFL bankruptcy sale is scheduled to be held in August.
The Tampa Bay Vipers were the only XFL team based in Florida.
