A fascinating trade proposal has the Pittsburgh Steelers sending George Pickens to an AFC rival team that would be a win-win for all parties.
George Pickens has been the subject of trade rumors throughout the offseason, and the Steelers’ blockbuster deal for D.K. Metcalf with the Seattle Seahawks only fueled speculation that the former is on his way out.
Some concerns have been raised about Pickens’ attitude in Pittsburgh, and his up-and-down production could prompt GM Omar Khan to make a move. After a career year in 2023 (63 catches for 1,140 yards and five touchdowns), Pickens finished with a rather disappointing 2024 stat line of 59-900-3.
Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton proposed a blockbuster trade idea that has the Steelers trading Pickens to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for 2025 fourth and fifth-round draft picks:
“While trading Pickens would be a loss for the 2025 term, the Steelers can get ahead of a likely divorce from him and get draft capital for a productive young receiver.
If the Titans plan to take Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick, they can get him some help before the draft.
Tennessee can acquire Pickens, who would pair with Calvin Ridley for a solid receiver tandem. The Titans could stress defenses by pushing the ball downfield to two receivers who averaged more than 15 yards per catch last season.”

Pickens, still 24, had 59 receptions for 900 yards last season— he is one of the most talented WRs when healthy.

The Steelers have a long and successful history of finding stud receivers after round one, namely Hines Ward, Antonio Brown, Mike Wallace, Emmanuel Sanders, Diontae Johnson, JuJu Smith-Schuster and George Pickens.

So if they do trade Pickens, Steelers fans can sleep well knowing that they’ll likely find another quality wide receiver in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Titans & George Pickens Would Be The Perfect Match

The Titans finished as football’s worst team in 2025, but they have two dynamic playmakers in wide receiver Calvin Ridley (1,017 yards in 2024) and running back Tony Pollard (1,079 yards).
But if they could add another explosive pass-catcher like Pickens, it would set up Tennessee’s starting quarterback in 2025 (Cam Ward? Shedeur Sanders?) for immediate success.
