There have been many reports about a possible trade as the New York Giants have actively explored a trade up in the 2025 NFL draft based on multiple reports over the past several weeks.
They have targeted the No. 1 overall pick where they would presumably select Miami quarterback Cam Ward.
It appears that will not be happening.
Now, with days until the draft kicks off in Green Bay, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reports that the Tennessee Titans will keep the pick rather than attempt to trade it.
He added that despite being legitimate interest from other teams, the Titans “never opened the door” to the idea.

Rapoport stated that all eyes are on the Titans to select Cam Ward.

Tennessee Titans Are Likely To Select Cam Ward
The Tennessee Titans can check off their most significant need with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
With the Titans holding the No. 1 overall spot, many believe quarterback Cam Ward out of Miami will hear his name first on Thursday.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Titans will not be trading the top pick.
There is no doubt that the Titans need upgraded quarterback play in 2025. Neither Will Levis nor Mason Rudolph proved to be the answer in 2024.
