Terry Bradshaw isn’t just turning heads with his Super Bowl commentary these days- he’s doing it with his slimmer frame, too. The Hall of Fame quarterback and longtime FOX Sports personality recently opened up about his 48-pound weight loss, and fans are taking notice.
At 76, Bradshaw isn’t slowing down. The four-time Super Bowl champion and former Pittsburgh Steelers great has faced a few tough years, including a rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis and the side effects of the treatment that came with it.
“I ended up getting rheumatoid arthritis and so they put me on steroids,” he told FOX 32 Chicago. “It took forever to find out what steroid worked. And so I put on so much weight and I got big and I just, I couldn’t get it off.”
Support, Shots, And Slimmer Days Ahead

With his health back on track, Bradshaw found a way forward, and his wife, Tammy, played a big role in that. She encouraged him to try a weight loss shot, and it made all the difference. “So Tammy got me started on one of those shots and I’ve been on this shot about a year now and I’ve lost 48 pounds,” he said. He now takes it periodically to maintain his progress.
Bradshaw admits his weight had ballooned in 2023, but he’s clearly regained control. His next target? Another 20 pounds to hit around 208, a number he says feels just right. “But I’ve got 20 I want to lose. I’m hoping I’ll lose 20 more pounds in another year,” he added.

Fans have noticed the change and responded with support across social media. Whether they’ve grown up watching him play or enjoy his Sunday takes on FOX, many are cheering him on. The New Orleans crowd recently got a firsthand look during FOX Sports Media Day in February, where Bradshaw looked noticeably trimmer and more energetic.
While he’s proud of what he’s achieved, Bradshaw stays grounded. “It’s a good feeling, a really good feeling,” he said, beaming. “As a psychiatrist or psychologist would tell you to tell your kids, ‘Aren’t you proud of yourself?’ – Yeah I am!”
From quarterbacking Super Bowls to tackling wellness goals, Bradshaw keeps showing up strong. And fans will be watching as he continues the journey, both on the scale and on screen.
