The man who was falsely accused of being the shooter at last year’s Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade has reportedly passed away.
The last two such parades have been the scenes of shooting incidents, with KC’s celebrations marred by an unfortunate event that cost a woman her life.
Multiple people identified Denton Loudermill Jr. of Olathe, Kansas, as the perpetrator, although he had nothing to do with the crime.
A photo of Loudermill sitting on the ground with his hands at his back and surrounded by police went viral online, leading many to believe he was involved. However, the authorities confirmed that he was not a suspect a few days later.
With just over a year gone, Loudermill has reportedly passed away. According to his lawyer, his body was found on Friday morning.
