If you’re an avid NFL fan, this is great news for you!
The league just made two big changes, with the first one being mostly for people who don’t have Sunday Ticket on DirecTV. This new rule no longer makes you a prisoner to watching the local team in your area as the league is eliminating its single-header rule and you will now get three games each Sunday afternoon no matter what market you are in.
If you’re in New York, in past years, you would be forced to watch the Jets or Giants. Now, you will get Jets, Giants and a third game each and every week no matter who has the doubleheader on FOX or CBS.
“So if, for example, you’re a Miami Dolphins fan living in Dallas and both the Dolphins and Cowboys are playing at 1 p.m. ET on CBS and Fox, you’ll get to see both games.
In the past, the Dolphins game would have been blacked out in the Dallas market.”
Now to the change to divisional round start times.
The team owners also voted to change the start times of the Sunday divisional round games.
