The View’s Joy Behar is getting slammed on Twitter following her comments on tackle football.
The dangers of contact sports are being widely discussed at the moment given the shocking incident involving Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin on Monday night and, as such, Behar opted to weigh in.
“45% of Americans think that tackle football is appropriate,” she said during Wednesday’s episode of The View. “Heterosexual men voted the most support for kids doing football. And conservatives were more likely to support youth tackle football. Just saying.”
Behar also suggested that anyone wanting to engage in sports should stick to golf or tennis.
Many of the people who caught wind of this via social media were displeased with the comments and made their feelings known. You can see some of the reactions below.
Meanwhile, Hamlin’s condition has improved but he remains under intensive care, per the latest update from the Bills.
