During Sunday’s Week 18 game against the Carolina Panthers, Tom Brady set a new career high in passing yards for a single season at 5,245 yards. Shortly after a break in the action, the Fox broadcast showed head coach Bruce Arians and Brady talking on the sidelines.
Arians said something that shocked the 44-year-old. His reaction quickly went viral on social media.
Almost a week later, we are now finding out what was told to him that made Brady make that face.
Brady had a regular season to remember, but Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is considered the NFL MVP favorite for a second consecutive season. Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians is imploring voters to consider giving it to someone else. That someone is Tom Brady.
“I think if he doesn’t get it, it’s a travesty,” Arians said.
“Most completions ever, 5,000 yards, touchdowns, the whole nine yards,” Arians said. “To me, it’s not even a close race.”
