On Sunday afternoon, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers defeated the Seattle Seahawks 17-0 in the QB’s return to the field. Rodgers sat out last week’s game after testing positive for Covid-19 and admitting he was unvaccinated.
The 37-year-old Packers quarterback looked rusty. He ended up completing 23 on 37 attempts with 292 yards and an interception.
During the Seahawks-Packers broadcast, Tony Romo and Jim Nantz appeared to be extremely sympathetic towards a man who caused the controversy by lying in the first place.
“I’m glad he did that; I’m glad he took responsibility for that. I’m glad that he said that he misled people…and I think the biggest thing, you know it’s a polarizing issue, but I can promise you he felt the weight of it the last few weeks, it’s something that he’s not thinking about anything else, and it’s been, make no mistake, a very challenging week for him”
Social media were sick to their stomachs hearing what both announcers had to say:
Green Bay moves to 8-2 on the year. Seattle falls to 3-6.
