Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart is reportedly moving up NFL teams’ draft boards after an excellent showing at the Scouting Combine.
Jaxson Dart is a consensus top-three quarterback prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft class, along with Miami’s Cam Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders. And apparently, Dart’s performance at the Combine has him moving up draft boards around the league.
According to the NFL Notifications X/Twitter account, Dart is “soaring” up draft boards after his workouts in Indianapolis. The account noted that the Rebels standout could even be taken as high as third overall by the New York Giants (the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns hold the first and second picks, respectively).
Additionally, Jeff Howe of The Athletic reports that some clubs think Dart “solidified himself as a first-rounder” at the Senior Bowl. Two teams now think he’ll be taken in the top-16, Howe added:
“Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart is a name to watch. Teams believed Dart solidified himself as a first-rounder during his week at the Senior Bowl. And last week at the combine, two teams strongly believed Dart would be taken in the top half of the opening round.”

Giants taking Dart 3rd overall is a very real possibility.

This year’s quarterback draft class isn’t considered deep compared to previous years. And unlike Joe Burrow (2020), C.J. Stroud (2023), Caleb Williams (2024) and Jayden Daniels (2024), Ward, Sanders and Dart aren’t quite considered sure-things to succeed. Scouts and analysts are strongly divided on this year’s top QBs.

In his final season at Ole Miss, Dart completed 69.3 percent of pass attempts for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns, six interceptions, 495 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.
Which Teams Could Target Jaxson Dart?

It’s hard to imagine Dart going first or second overall in the draft, but the Giants could definitely target him if Sanders and Ward are the top two picks.
The New England Patriots (the No. 4 pick) and Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 5) are set at quarterback and obviously won’t consider Dart. But the Las Vegas Raiders (No. 6) and New York Jets (No. 7) could consider rolling the dice on Dart if Sanders and Ward are off the board by the time they pick.
