New Jacksonville Jaguars two-way phenom Travis Hunter claims he “had a feeling” beforehand that he was Duval County-bound.
In a big-time stunner, the Jaguars acquired the No. 2, 104 and 200 selections from the Cleveland Browns in exchange for the No. 5, No. 36 and No. 126 picks plus Jacksonville’s 2026 first-rounder. With the No. 2 pick, the Jaguars selected Travis Hunter.
Speaking to Kay Adams backstage after he was selected, Hunter revealed that he was checking out homes in Jacksonville on Wednesday night before the draft. Thus, he wasn’t at all surprised about the Jaguars moving up for the No. 2 pick to snag him:
“I was super surprised, even though I went on Zillow last night and searched up some houses in Jacksonville…Yeah, I did that last night. I had a feeling…I actually went on Zillow last night…I just had a feeling that Jacksonville was going to try to come get me.”

Most mock drafts in the weeks leading up to the draft had the Browns taking Travis Hunter in the No. 2 spot. You won’t find many who projected that Jacksonville would trade up to pick the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner, but here we are.
With the No. 5 pick, the Browns selected Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham to pair with Myles Garrett. With the No. 33 pick in their back pockets, the Browns have first dibs on taking Shedeur Sanders tonight.

Travis Hunter & Brian Thomas Jr. Give Jaguars An Explosive Pass-Catching Tandem
The Jaguars were one of football’s worst teams last year at 4-13, but the addition of Hunter immediately puts them in a position to compete for a playoff spot. Trevor Lawrence now gets to throw to Hunter and 2024 first-round pick Brian Thomas Jr., who caught 87 passes for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.
