Dallas Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parsons didn’t seem enthused with the team’s decision to use its first-round pick on Alabama guard Tyler Booker.
Despite reports and widespread belief that the Cowboys were planning to use their first-round pick on a wide receiver, Jerry Jones and company decided to pick Zack Martin’s successor instead with the No. 12 pick.
When news broke that the Cowboys were taking Booker, Micah Parsons didn’t even try to hide his surprised and disappointed reaction:

Cowboys fans better hope that Tyler Booker doesn’t see that video. Otherwise it’s going to be an awkward introduction with the franchise star.
Four picks earlier, Micah Parsons also expressed his discontent when the Carolina Panthers selected Arizona Wildcats wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan at No. 8. So we’ll go ahead and guess that Parsons wanted Dallas to take another receiver here instead of Booker.

Dallas’ decision to take Booker was certainly a surprise, considering many scouts and analysts didn’t view him as a top-20 prospect. But at the same time, Dallas had a need at guard following Martin’s unexpected retirement.
Micah Parsons Needs A New Contract From Cowboys

With Parsons entering the fifth and final year of his rookie contract, the pressure is on Jerry Jones and the front office to finalize an extension with their All-Pro linebacker. Otherwise, they risk having to pay Parsons a lot more money after the 2025 season.
