New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend Tom Brady is now beefing with Skip Bayless.
The greatest quarterback of all time and seven-time Super Bowl winner, who was a sixth-round pick by the Patriots in 2000, has been brought up a lot after he chose not to draft Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
Media personality Skip Bayless attracted attention when he posted on X that it was “pretty clear” that Las Vegas Raiders minority owner Tom Brady “told the Raiders not to take Shedeur.”
During a recent podcast appearance, Brady insisted he “wasn’t a part of any evaluation process” regarding Sanders. When asked about what Brady said, the seven-time Super Bowl champion said, “The problem with media is everyone can just say whatever the [expletive] they want.”
On Friday morning, Bayless returned to X to respond to Brady.
The former ESPN and FOX Sports host posted a scathing 25-minute video clapping back at Brady, doubling down on his stance that the seven-time Super Bowl champion “vetoed” Sanders from being selected by the franchise.
“Tom Brady has ‘called me out,’” Bayless said.

“I guess he’s called me a liar. So, I’m about to call BS on Tom Brady, because Tom, you know and I know everything I said about you and Shedeur Sanders is obviously, exactly right.”

In his argument, Bayless suggested the Raiders at least asked Tom Brady about Sanders since he has a close relationship with him. That’s when he said to quit “dodging the truth.”
“Tom Brady mentored and coached Shedeur Sanders all the way up through high school and into college, and through college – mentored and coached,” Bayless said. “Nobody out there, outside of Shedeur’s family, knows his game and his nature, his tangibles and his intangibles, better than Tom Brady. So we’re to believe that nobody in the Raiders organization at any point in time before the draft said, ‘Hey, Tom. What’s your opinion of Shedeur?’ And by the way, the Raiders did need a quarterback desperately badly – desperately badly – before they went out and acquired Geno Smith.
“But my point is, at no point neither Pete Carroll nor John Spytek nor Mark Davis said, ‘Hey, Tom. Give us your take on Shedeur.’ Stop it, Tom. Quit lying to us, Tom. Quit dodging the truth, Tom. I’m just going to say it, I’m calling bullshit on you because that’s utter bulls–t. The Raiders would be fools if they didn’t ask you your opinion of Shedeur. And obviously … you said no to Shedeur, because they did pass him seven straight times.”
Tom Brady Reveals His Role In The 2025 NFL Draft

Tom Brady seems just as surprised as anyone that Shedeur Sanders made it to the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Unlike everyone else, many thought he would get the Raiders to take him, but they never pulled the trigger.
According to the legendary quarterback, who owns a minority stake in the Raiders, he had no role in Las Vegas passing on Sanders seven times.
“I mean … it’s a good question. I wasn’t a part of any evaluation process,” Brady said on Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast.
