There are cameras everywhere and always watching you. Stephen A. Smith now knows that all too well.
During Tuesday’s edition of ‘First Take,’ the star of the show was nowhere to be found because he was running extremely late. Despite only living fifteen minutes away, that New York traffic was basically a parking lot.
Video showed him running to work.
Smith blamed the “ridiculous” traffic for holding him up while bringing up the crew “spying on me” with an overhead camera.
“I’m done with New York,” Smith said.
Stephen A. Smith is a man who is on several shows for ESPN and is the face of the Worldwide Leader in Sports. I’m sure nobody had issues with him being late once.
Smith earns about $8 million per year under his current contract with ESPN. He also has a “$4 million-per-year production” contract as well. Smith has been in the industry for years and seemingly has several assignments at ESPN other than just “First Take.”
He is one of the highest-paid broadcasters in sports.
