Drake and Justin Bieber have a long history, professionally and personally, and another thing that brings them together is their love for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t God’s plan for the Leafs to advance in the NHL playoffs after their 6-1 blowout loss in Game 7 against the Florida Panthers.
Justin Bieber was in the arena for this Game 7 matchup.
After the Toronto Maple Leafs’ 6-1 blowout loss to the Florida Panthers in Sunday’s Game 7 of the second round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs, Drake knew just who to blame.
Known for causing bad luck with his sports bets, the hop hop star brazenly placed a $1 million bet on his hometown Maple Leafs for Sunday’s game.
After Toronto’s loss, Drake jokingly blamed Bieber for being the real curse that doomed the team.
“Bieber Curse…” Drake wrote on his Instagram Story after the Toronto Maple Leafs game.

Florida will play the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final, with Game 1 of that best-of-7 series set for Tuesday at Lenovo Center.
The Toronto Maple Leafs Have Terrible Game 7 History

The last time the Toronto Maple Leafs won a Game 7 in a playoff series was in 2004 in the first round against the Ottawa Senators.
The Maple Leafs are 12-16 in sudden-death Game 7 situations in franchise history. The franchise has now lost seven straight Game 7 contests.
Just like previous years, maybe 2026 will be the year for them.
