New Jersey Devils defenseman P.K. Subban just got himself a ring after he asked Olympic gold medal-winning skier Lindsey Vonn to marry him, and she said YES!
That news was delivered during an interview with Alexandra Macon of Vogue.
“I got the ring and said, ‘You know what, I’m just going to do it (at) home,'” Subban said. “Everything kind of came together on that day. Everyone says the stars aligned – well, it was actually a full moon. I was worried because I knew she would want to be dressed up and not in her pajamas, and it just so happened she had a business meeting, so she was fully dressed up.”
Vonn also revealed the couple is in no rush to walk down the aisle as Subban gets ready not only for the upcoming NHL season, but his first year with the Devils after he was traded from the Nashville Predators during the offseason.
“We’re in such a busy time right now. We’re trying to move to New Jersey,” she explained. “I just want to enjoy the moment and the engagement. We’re not in a big hurry to get married. It kind of depends on his playing schedule, and when we have time to sit down and go through it. I don’t want to stress him out because he has a big season coming.”
The couple started dating in June 2018.
