Olympian Lolo Jones has opened up on why she’s still a virgin.
The hurdler, whose real name is Lori Susan Jones, is one of the best in her field. She competes in the 60—and 100-meter hurdles and has won multiple titles.
Jones has also been involved in the Olympics as a brake woman for the U.S. national bobsled team.
The 42-year-old is known for her surprising claims of never having sex, something she says puts her at a disadvantage as she can’t use intimacy as an avenue for taking a load off.
Still, she continues to abstain.
Jones discussed her sex life, or rather the lack thereof, in an interview, revealing that celibacy in her twenties was the most challenging thing she’s ever done.

“Harder than training for the Olympics, harder than graduating from college, has been to stay a virgin before marriage,” she said on HBO’s ‘Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel’ back in 2012.
The hurdler has said she is waiting until after marriage to have sex as she’s a devout Christian, noting her virginity is a “gift” she plans to give her future husband.
Lolo Jones Confesses To Being Highly Stressed Because She Doesn’t Have Sex

Speaking to Kevin Hart on the comedian’s ‘Cold as Balls’ show in 2020, Lolo Jones revealed her celibacy has actually worked against her in terms of finding a husband.
“That killed all my dates after that. Before, at least I had a chance,” she said. “Before, I’d like, tiptoe. ‘OK, when’s a good time to tell him? Do I wait until he sees my personality a little bit? Or do I just drop the bomb?’”
“Having sex actually helps you as an athlete, a female athlete. So, I’m running at a disadvantage,” she added, suggesting it’s the reason for her high stress levels.
“Everybody knows me as stressed out,” she said.
Despite her refusal to get intimate, Lolo does want a family. She admitted to being afraid of possibly running out of time, having previously considered freezing her eggs.
“I originally wanted to freeze my eggs when I was in my early 30s. I just kept thinking I will meet my husband and things will all work out,” she remarked.
“Well here I am almost 10 years later and it hasn’t.”
