Gabby Thomas has called out a social media user for “weirdo” behavior after being subjected to taunts and insults at a track meet on the weekend.
Thomas, who represented the United States at last year’s Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France, and won three gold medals, finished fourth in the 100-meter dash at the Grand Slam Track meet in Philadelphia.
She later took to X to thank fans for their support, but an individual commented on her post, claiming he caused her to lose and boasting about the parlays he won.
The user, who goes by the name ‘Mr 100k a day’ on the platform, also shared a clip of him heckling the sprinter.
Thomas, who said she wouldn’t have addressed the matter on social media had the man not bragged about it, said the following:
“This grown man followed me around the track as I took pictures and signed autographs for fans (mostly children) shouting personal insults. Anybody who enables him online is gross.”

The video shows the user recording the start of the race, calling Gabby Thomas a “choke artist” and telling her “you going down” repeatedly.
He also mentioned Thomas’ marriage to a white man, claiming he would root for Melissa Jefferson-Wooden because she has a black husband.
Gabby Thomas Still Enjoyed Philadelphia

Despite the above, Gabby Thomas said she had a wonderful experience running in Philly.
“My favorite place to compete has always been London (fans and atmosphere)…but after this weekend, Philly comes close. Such a cool stadium and fans coming from all over,” she wrote in a separate tweet.

Meanwhile, Grand Slam Track Commissioner and sprinting legend Michael Johnson has apologized to Thomas and assured her that action would be taken.
“So sorry you had to experience this Gabby!” Johnson said. “We are working to identify the individual involved and will take appropriate action as necessary. Despicable behavior like this will not be tolerated.”
Thomas also revealed back in January that she was being stalked by men at various airports who acted aggressively after she refused to sign autographs.
Former LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne recently disclosed she’s going through the same thing.
