
French soccer club Paris Saint-Germain won the UEFA Champions League for the first time, beating Inter Milan in a lopsided 5-0 affair on Saturday, and it appears the city couldn’t handle it.
Thousands took to the streets as fans partied into the night, but the celebrations were marred by two deaths, with a police officer also being left in a coma.
According to French authorities, per ESPN, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death at a street party in the western city of Dax, while a male in his 20s also died tragically, as a car hit his scooter.
A police officer was accidentally hit by fireworks at a gathering in Coutances in northwest France and placed in an induced coma due to severe eye injuries.

The report notes that 192 people were injured around the city as of Sunday morning, four of them very seriously. Police made 294 arrests as of early Sunday morning, 30 related to a break-in at a shoe store on the Champs-Élysées.
Police revealed that two cars were set on fire close to the team’s home stadium.

Hundreds More Arrested During Paris Saint-Germain Champions League Trophy Parade

PSG hosted a parade on Sunday, as players filled an open-top bus and rode down the Champs-Élysées, displaying the UCL trophy and singing with fans.
Over 100,000 people celebrated with the team, with police maintaining a heavy presence due to the incidents from the day before.
There were reports of fans clashing with riot police during the celebrations. Hundreds were arrested, with several more injured.
The parade ended with a special event at the team’s home stadium, Parc des Princes, after French President Emmanuel Macron hosted the players at the Élysée Palace.
