Lebron James went straight from playing for his high school basketball team in Akron, Ohio to the big leagues when he was drafted by the Cleaveland Cavaliers as the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. He was named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year and has since established himself with a multitude of other accolades.
