Taylor Fritz’s Latest Match was Suspended

Taylor Fritz was not a happy camper. He was left fuming after his first-round Wimbledon match against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard was suspended due to the 11 p.m. curfew.
The No.4 seed alleged that his first-round Wimbledon match was only suspended because his opponent, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, didn’t want to continue playing.
The tennis star expressed his frustration when their game was abruptly halted just after he had pushed for a fifth and final set around 10.15 p.m. This meant they had at least 45 more minutes before the curfew was set to kick in.
The supervisor made an appearance on the court, and Fritz erupted when the umpire announced that play was being suspended until the following day.
Taylor Fritz now believes that Mpetshi Perricard influenced the decision to suspend the match.
Ultimately, play was suspended with the score standing at 6-7, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6.
