Angel Reese has found a way to turn trolling into potential cash as she’s filed an interesting trademark that she did not have to think up herself.
The Chicago Sky forward is leaning right into the “Mebounds” jokes, and she’s looking to add the phrase to her branding after being roasted about picking up most of her rebounds off her own misses.
She suggested as much in a TikTok video over the weekend, in which she thanked her critics for coining the term.
“Whoever came up with ‘mebounds’—y’all ate. Because rebounds, mebounds, crebounds… anything that comes off that board, it’s mine,” she said before following the clip up with a wink emoji directed at her agent on X.
While the internet poked fun at Reese over her missed layups and resulting boards, she’s looking to respond by parlaying the taunting into cold, hard cash.
The former LSU star’s filing covers apparel such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats. And there’s little doubt that they will sell, as, despite the trolling, she has a great many fans.

Angel Reese Had A Career Weekend

Angel Reese also hit a career milestone over the weekend, recording her first-ever triple-double in a 78-66 win over the Connecticut Sun on Sunday.
Reese scored 11 points, adding 13 rebounds (we aren’t sure how many of them were mebounds), and a career-high 11 assists, showcasing her ability to run the offense.
She was also solid on the other side of the ball, making three steals and two blocks.
Her triple-double marked the second of the WNBA season so far and follows rival Caitlin Clark’s from their season-opening clash.
