WNBA fans are saying the same disappointing thing after Caitlin Clark was ruled out for the Indiana Fever-Los Angeles Sparks game on Saturday.
Per Fever reporter Scott Agness of the Fieldhouse Files, Caitlin Clark’s groin injury will sideline her for a fifth straight game. The 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year will now have missed 10 games by the conclusion of Saturday’s contest.
Clark missed five games earlier this season after suffering a quad injury. As WNBA fans know, television ratings across the league dropped significantly during Clark’s initial five-game absence.

It’s her 10th absence this season, fifth in a row.
The latest injury update on Caitlin Clark wasn’t well-received by WNBA fans, to say the least.
“miss her so bad,” one fan said.

The Fever went 2-3 without Caitlin Clark when she was sidelined recovering from her quad injury, but they’ve gone 3-1 since in her second absence. That included a 74-59 victory over the league-best Minnesota Lynx in the Commissioner’s Cup on Tuesday.
After hosting the Sparks on Saturday, Indiana will get three days off before returning to the court for a home tilt with the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday.
Fever Can Be Patient With Caitlin Clark’s Recovery
The good news for Clark is that the Fever have managed to stay afloat during her second absence. They’re sitting comfortably in a playoff spot and have the pieces to get by without their All-Star guard for the short term, so there’s no need to rush Clark’s return to the court.
