Clay Travis has made Angel Reese an offer that would see her earn more than she makes in an entire WNBA season.
All she has to do is beat him one-on-one in a basketball game.
The OutKick founder must have been aware of Reese’s atrocious shooting against the New York Liberty on Thursday night, with the Chicago Sky forward having shot 0-for-8 from the field in the 99-74 loss to tie an unwanted record.
ESPN noted that Reese’s misses from within four feet of the basket – she was 0-for-7 at the time – matched a record for the most misses from such a distance over the past 10 seasons.
If nothing else, the performance has left Travis thinking he can beat her 1v1, and he’s willing to stake $100,000 on it.

Travis took to X to issue the challenge on Thursday night, setting the terms as he offered the Sky forward an opportunity to make more than she does in an entire season.

“Hey @Reese10Angel me vs you half court to 15 by 1’s and 2’s. $100k to the winner, more than you make in an entire WNBA season,” he tweeted. “Rebounds taken back to three point line. We put the game on pay per view and raise millions for charity of winner’s choice. You in?”
Travis added that he should be good to go against Angel Reese, given that his son’s team will train him.
“My 8th grade son’s team says they will train me,” he wrote. “I got this.”

Angel Reese is set to earn $74,509 for the 2025 WNBA season after signing a four-year rookie deal with the Sky worth $324,383. The number will increase every season and she will make $93,636 if the team picks up her option, still less than what Clay Travis is willing to put on the line.
Although she isn’t making much from her WNBA salary compared to other top athletes, Reese has some lucrative endorsement deals with companies like Reebok, Beats, McDonalds, and Wingstop.
Even so, we’re hoping she takes Travis up on his offer.
