Jade Melbourne had a rough night on Thursday.
The Washington Mystics’ fans were left stunned just eight minutes into their matchup against the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday when their star point guard took a hard elbow to the face from Chelsea Gray.
Early in the first quarter, Jade was struck in the face by an inadvertent elbow from Chelsea Gray, resulting in her being bloodied and part of her tooth becoming dislodged and forcing her out of the game.
The incident unfolded right after Melbourne’s layup put the Mystics ahead 2–0.
Slow motion replay confirmed the elbow as medical staff immediately escorted her off the court.

What Is Jade Melbourne’s Status For The Next Game?

Jade Melbourne had an unfortunate incident where Aces star Chelsea Gray knocked a tooth out of her mouth.
It was so bad that she would only play one minute of the game and not return. She went 1 for 1 from the field with 2 points before her exit.
Luckily, her team was good enough to defeat the Aces.
Next up is a road game against the Dallas Wings on Saturday.
Jade Melbourne should be ready to play that game, although without a tooth.
