The Indiana Fever has a new sponsor, but fans aren’t sure it was the right move. The WNBA outfit announced a deal with Sequel this week, unveiling the company as their official tampon partner in a short clip featuring Lexie Hull.
As a result of the deal, Sequel products will be available to Fever players and fans alike, with complimentary spiral tampons to be placed in the team’s locker room and all Gainbridge Fieldhouse restrooms.
Indiana Fever COO and General Manager Amber Cox said the following: “We are proud to offer free Sequel products to our Fever family, both on the court and off, so they can enjoy the game of basketball with comfort and confidence.”
The team also shared a video of Hull breaking the news, which you can check out right below:

“Gosh- this is so weird,” one wrote.
“WTH? Are you kidding me? We can’t get better sponsors than that? Play ball!” someone chimed in.
Another asked, “Guys what are we doing, literally find any other sponsor. You are not doing these girls any favors.”
“I get it. It’s a feminine hygiene product and very much a part of life for women, but dang!” another comment read.
“She’s doing everything she can to not bust out laughing,” someone observed.
“She must have lost the half-court competition today,” one user claimed.
“Dudes can’t comprehend that a Women’s basketball team would have a tampon sponsor😂,” another laughed.
The Fever’s latest sponsor was co-founded by former athlete and engineer Amanda Calabrese and Greta Meyer. The team has suggested that fans may already be familiar with Sequel products.
Also, it appears that Lexie Hull wasn’t doing this as part of a humiliation ritual, as one fan implied; she’s an official brand ambassador.
