The 2025 WNBA Draft got eyes rolling when Sonia Citron took the stage.
The Notre Dame’s former standout made a striking appearance at the Draft night and the internet couldn’t get over her bold dress.
During the event, Citron donned a chic blazer and skirt ensemble. She complemented her look with black heels and a matching handbag. To finish her look, she accessorized with items from the luxury brand Coach, including a handbag and white socks.
However, it was her braless black blazer that got social media fans cheesing over this year’s No. 3 overall pick.

Sonia Citron Made History With Her Draft Pick

While the social media fans couldn’t contain their excitement, Sonia Citron is making history after her draft selection. She is all over the news for getting selected third overall in the WNBA Draft by the Washington Mystics.
It adds her to an esteemed roster of former Fighting Irish players who were drafted in the top three. Jewell Loyd and Skylar Diggins-Smith had this feat earlier.
As an AP All-American, Citron demonstrated her talent throughout her college career, averaging 14.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game as a senior.

Though some may question whether her statistical output was sufficient for a No. 3 selection, Citron’s impact on the court was undeniable. She started an impressive 107 games during her tenure at Notre Dame, leading her team to the Sweet 16 in each of her four seasons.
Beyond her offensive skills, it was Citron’s defense that earned her a spot on the ACC All-Defensive Team. Additionally, she has a career-high average of 1.9 steals and 0.9 blocks per game.
