Sophie Cunningham brought the shorts out again as she pulled off another daring fit for Caitlin Clark’s return to the Indiana Fever on Saturday.
Clark is returning to the team after missing five games with a quad injury. As fate would have it, she’s coming back to play the New York Liberty, the team she got injured playing against.
The second-year star also felt like she was cheated at the end of that game as she turned the ball over on the final play, but reckons it was due to a foul that was not called.
Clark leads the WNBA in assists per game with 9.3 this season and is averaging 19.0 PPG, which suggests she will be a welcome addition to the active roster against the defending champions.
Sophie Cunningham Returns In Style

Cunningham, who also returns to the team after a three-game absence due to an ankle injury, rocked a daring pregame outfit as she pulled up to Gainbridge Fieldhouse Arena on Saturday, rocking another pair of shorts and heels, having worn something similar last weekend.

Fans absolutely loved the fit, although others were quick to point out that heels were probably not the best choice so soon after an ankle injury.
“Omg those legs though ❤️❤️,” a user commented.

It appears we’ll have to get used to this sort of ensemble from Sophie.
Meanwhile, Fever head coach Stephanie White claimed Sophie Cunningham looked strong in workouts and is ready to help the team again.
Indiana is now back at full strength, with both Cunningham and Clark returning, though it’s also resulted in the team waiving Aari McDonald following the end of her hardship deal.
