Fans were looking forward to the upcoming clash between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky after sparks flew in their season opener last week.
Unfortunately, Caitlin Clark won’t be involved in the June 7 affair as she has been ruled out for at least two weeks due to a quadriceps strain, with the Fever dropping the injury news on Monday afternoon.
The two teams hosted the most expensive game in WNBA history when they met for the last time last season, with tickets costing no less than $165. This month’s opener was much cheaper, with the most affordable one costing around $75.

Fans could have attended their upcoming clash, which is part of the Commissioner’s Cup, for as little as $65. However, at the time of writing, Seatgeek’s cheapest entry fee had dropped to just $29.
While it’s a steal, there’s no Caitlin Clark.

Angel Reese will be playing on June 7, barring an injury or suspension, but it appears she’s not enough of an attraction to keep tickets at a premium.
Last season, the Sky forward claimed people were also watching women’s basketball because of her, not just Caitlin Clark. While she wasn’t wrong, the former Iowa guard is, by far, the bigger draw.
If that wasn’t already evident, it is now.
The Fever promised further updates on Clark’s injury with their announcement, but she will be out for at least two weeks, which rules her out for at least four games.
There’s hope that she will be back by June 8, but it’s possible she will remain out longer. Fans will have their fingers crossed.
