Florida Governor Ron DeSantis attended WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event in Tampa over the Memorial Day weekend.
DeSantis has a less-than-certain political future, as fans let him know about it.
DeSantis received a less-than-welcoming reception when he made an appearance at Saturday’s Night Main Event at the Yuengling Center.
Videos posted to X show the crowd chanting “You suck” and booing the governor when he appeared ringside. He appeared to take it in stride and laughed it off. The former Republican presidential candidate had no other choice as the animosity rained down from local wrestling fans, who made it abundantly clear what they thought of him.

Ron DeSantis also met with wrestling legend Hulk Hogan in Clearwater to “throw back” a can of Real American Beer with “the Hulkster.”
DeSantis is the second associate of Trump’s to be booed at a WWE event in recent months after Hulk Hogan was greeted with a chorus of jeers when he made a surprise appearance on Monday Night Raw in January.

Ron DeSantis Was Once Supposed To Defeat Donald Trump
Things have changed for the political figure ever since he was briefly tipped to beat Donald Trump to the GOP nomination in 2023. He had built up a strong conservative following through his combative leadership of the Sunshine State during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The New York Post even celebrated him as “DeFuture” but would soon suspend his campaign as it became obvious he could not compete and endorse Donald Trump instead.
This was hard for him to do since he had spent several months mocking and insulting him.
