The wrestling world felt a gut punch on Friday when Ric Flair shared that he’s once again battling skin cancer. Just a few weeks after shutting down online rumors about his health, the 76-year-old WWE Hall of Famer revealed he’s facing a second fight with the disease.
In early May, fans grew concerned after Flair’s son-in-law, Conrad Thompson, announced he was undergoing treatment for skin cancer. That announcement kicked off a wave of speculation about Flair’s own health.
He quickly tried to squash those rumors with a firm message on X, saying, “I’m Sorry People Have Been Misled By Social Media, But I Don’t Have Cancer Of Any Kind. Thank You For Your Concerns… I Am Absolutely Fine.” That assurance didn’t last long.

On June 6, Flair told People that doctors diagnosed him with skin cancer for the second time in three years. He said he’s preparing to begin treatment next week. “It’s the second time in three years that I’ve been dealing with skin cancer,” Flair stated. “I will be undergoing treatment next week.”
Almost immediately, fans and fellow wrestlers flooded social media with support. One fan wrote, “Hope he has a swift recovery.”
