BREAKING: Gators Star Keyontae Johnson In Stable Condition, Breathing On His Own After Collapsing On Court
Florida basketball star Keyontae Johnson collapsed early in the game against rival Florida State and was taken to a Tallahassee hospital. Things only got worse as news dropped that he was in critical, but stable condition.
Keyontae Johnson’s grandfather, Larry DeJarnet, says that Keyontae was put in a medically-induced coma. Things have since improved.
He is now in stable condition and breathing on his own.
Before the incident, Johnson had just finished an alley-oop on a pass from Tyree Appleby. He was celebrating with teammates and walking toward the sideline before he collapsed.
Johnson, a junior forward from Norfolk, Virginia, was averaging 19.7 PPG this season and was considered an NBA prospect.
