Incredible Footage Surfaces of Bill Belichick Telling Wes Welker To His Face He’s Going To Lose Job To Julian Edelman (VIDEO)
Bill Belichick has always been a savage, but I don’t think we truly knew the level of which the future hall of fame head coach could obtain.
That was answered this week when Julian Edelman retired from the league shortly after the New England Patriots parted ways with him after a failed physical.
Soon, a video surfaced on Twitter showing Belichick telling Wes Welker to his face on the sidelines that he was going to lose his job to Julian Edelman.
Check this out:
Edelman announced the news of his retirement on a video posted to his social media account, calling his time in New England “the best 12 years of my life.”
“I always said I’m going to go until the wheels come off. And they’ve finally fallen off,” Edelman said. “Due to an injury last year, I’ll be making my official announcement of my retirement from football. It was a hard decision, but the right decision for me and my family. And I’m honored and so proud to be retiring a Patriot.”
Edelman caught 620 passes for 6,822 receiving yards and had 36 receiving touchdowns in his career. His career ended with him never making a Pro Bowl, but he came up big in the playoffs when called upon.
Edelman’s career ends with him ranking second in postseason receiving yards (1,442) and receptions (118).
