“Fake Klay Thompson” has been banned for life from the Chase Center after he made it onto the court prior to Monday night’s Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
Fake Klay is well known as Dawson Gurley, a YouTuber, and he somehow got past security and into the arena. He would eventually be found and banned for life.
He has since dropped the behind-the-scenes footage that will surely get some security members reprimanded or fired from their jobs at the Chase Center.
According to Gurley, he never actually claimed to be Thompson at the arena. He says he talked to security and walked through metal detectors before making his way into authorized parts of the arena.
Gurley has now received a lifetime ban from the Chase Center and the team’s G League Arena in Santa Cruz, according to SF Gate.
The Warriors have the opportunity to clinch the championship in Game 6 in Boston. If the series comes back to San Francisco for a Game 7, we’re sad to inform you that Fake Klay won’t be there…unless he finds a way to sneak in again!
