Like most Dallas Cowboys fans, Skip Bayless has had his heart broken by Dem Boyz all too often over the past quarter century. And he’s apparently had enough!
Heading into the 2022 season, Bayless has decided that it’s time to put his foot down. No more one-and-dones. He’s not going to take it anymore.
The popular FS1 host took to twitter prior to the Cowboys’ preseason opener against the Denver Broncos to speak about his expectations for the team. But after claiming that he’s ‘lowering his expectations’ for 2022, Skip issued a threat to his favorite team:
IT STARTS AGAIN: Time for the 1st Cowboys preseason game. This season, I’m lowering my expectations – and the Jinx Factor. Whatever happens happens. Life will go on. (BUT THIS TIME THEY’D BETTER AT LEAST WIN ONE HOME PLAYOFF GAME OR THEY’RE GOING TO HEAR ABOUT IT ON TV FROM ME!!)
After going 12-5 and cruising to an NFC East title in 2021, the Cowboys dropped their Wild Card contest at home to the San Francisco 49ers. The loss once again forced Dallas fans to go an entire offseason wondering exactly what went wrong.
Unfortunately for them, Jerry Jones and company were unable to address any of the issues that may be holding this team back during the offseason, thanks to their cap constraints. Instead, they were forced to watch key pieces like Amari Cooper, Cedric Wilson Jr., Randy Gregory, La’el Collins and Connor Williams move on to other teams.
Hate to break it to you, Skip, but if this team couldn’t win a postseason game last year, it seems unlikely that they get it done with a downgraded roster in 2022.
