Sunday’s series finale between the Washington Nationals and Philadelphia Phillies got really wierd and scary during the eighth inning at Citizens Bank Park when the protective net behind home plate suddenly collapsed.
Trea Turner was at the plate with the Nationals trailing 12-6 when it happened.
The grounds crew went through an intense battle with the net to get it back up. It caused a 20-minute delay in the game to get things right.
