José Ramírez and his agent found a savvy way to troll Tim Anderson following the former’s knockout blow on Chicago’s star shortstop.
During Saturday’s night’s game between the White Sox and Guardians, Anderson and Ramírez engaged in a brawl after Cleveland’s star third baseman beat a tag for a double. Ramírez won this battle, knocking Anderson down with a brutal right hook to the face:
Ramírez and his agent, Rafa Nieves, trolled Anderson big time when Nieves posted this photo of his client on his Instagram story:
Anderson and Ramírez were both ejected from Saturday’s game, which Chicago went on to win by a final score of 7-4. The 30-year-old Anderson was out of the lineup for Sunday’s rubber match, which his team won 5-3.
Ramírez finished 1-for-3 on the day with a walk. The White Sox trailed 3-2 in the top of the ninth but plated a trio of runs which dealt a massive blow to Cleveland’s rapidly shrinking AL Central division crown hopes.
This marked the final game of the White Sox-Guardians season series, so fans will have to wait until next year for a rekindling of the rivalry.
Both Anderson and Ramírez are facing the possibility of multi-game suspensions, though they’ll have the chance to appeal whatever they’re handed. Chicago travels home tomorrow to begin a three-game series with the New York Yankees, while the Guardians will stay home at begin a four-game series with the surging Toronto Blue Jays.
