Medical professionals all around the country are trying their best to save people’s lives in the midst of this global pandemic of the coronavirus, but it has them not having the essential things they require to keep themselves protected from contracting the disease.
Fanatics, the official manufacturer and distributor of MLB jerseys, is now stepping in to help as they are converting a Pennsylvania factory into manufacturing masks and gowns, utilizing the material that’s used to make jerseys.
Fanatics executive chairman Michael Rubin took to social media to tweet about the idea, and it soon became a reality as they plan to make a million masks and gowns to send to PA, New Jersey, and New York hospitals.
The polyester material being used can actually be put over their actual masks to to have extra added protection.
It is truly better than having nothing at all, especially when you see medical professionals having to wear trash bags.
Yeah, it’s gotten that bad.
