The 2020 MLB season is slated to kick off on July 23rd, but the league was dealt a major blow after the Associated Press reported the Toronto Blue Jays have been denied permission by the Canadian government to play in Toronto.
Canada is still maintaining strict coronavirus guidelines and hasn’t yet opened up its border to the United States, which is why the Blue Jays would need special permission to hold games.
The next closest place for the team to play its games would be in Buffalo and social media seemed to like that idea.
