After an absolutely dreadful performance in Game 1 against the Brooklyn Nets where he scored just nine points on the night, Ben Simmons rebounded in Game 2 en route to a 18-12-10 triple-double, helping the 76ers drop 145 points and even their series with the Nets.
Just ahead of a pivotal Game 3 in Brooklyn — Nets’ Jared Dudley threw shots at Simmons calling him “great” in transition but “average” when the 76ers are forced to set up their offense in the half-court.
Those comments were relayed to Simmons on Thursday, who responded like so:
“It’s coming from Jared Dudley.”
I mean, he does have a point. Dudley missed Game 2 because of injury, but only scored four points in 28 minutes in Game 1.
