“The Last Dance” has provided viewers with plenty of memorable comments and meme worthy content for years to come.
During the latest episode, Jordan was watching a clip where gary Payton talked about his defense on Jordan in the 1996 NBA Finals.
Jordan could be seen laughing throughout.
“The Glove. I had no problem (dealing) with The Glove. I had no problem with Gary Payton.”
While that clip sparked a bunch of laughs and memes, it started a controversy for George Karl, who coached that Seattle SuperSonics team in 1996 when they faced against the Bulls in the NBA Finals.
He took to Twitter and called out Jordan for his comments and stated some facts.
The Soncis were down 3-0 before the team finally put Payton on Jordan.
Jordan shot 36.7% in the last three games of the series and Payton had his way with him in Game 4, limiting him to 6-of-19 shooting.
During Game 6, Jordan shot 5-of-19 from the floor, but the team still won the game 87-75 to close out the series.
