Cedric Ceballos, a former NBA All-Star and the 1992 Slam Dunk Contest champion, tweeted on Tuesday that he has been in ICU for the past 10 days as he continues to battle COVID-19.
“On my 10th day in ICU, COVID-19 is officially kicking my but, I am asking ALL family, friends, prayer warriors healers for your prayers and well wish for my recovery,” Ceballos tweeted. “If I have done and anything to you in the past , allow me to publicly apologize. My fight is not done….. Thx”
While most gave prayers as he requested, there were a ton of people who deemed it neccesary to find out his vaccination status as he sat in the hospital.
Cedric Ceballos, who played 11 seasons in the NBA, played for the Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons and Miami Heat. His career peaked with the Lakers in the 1994-95 season, when he was named to the only All-Star team of his career.
Ceballos suffered a series of heart attacks in 2012 and required surgery to place two stents in his blocked arteries. Past heart issues are considered a risk factor for COVID-19 patients.WANT MORE FROM TOTALPROSPORTS? FOLLOW US ON GOOGLE NEWS.
