Cam Thomas been one of the hottest players in the entire NBA after he dropped back-to-back 40-point games amid Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant being traded to the Mavs and Suns.
Just recently, he caught hell for what he said after a victory.
Spencer Dinwiddie made his debut for the Nets on Thursday in a 116-105 win over the Chicago Bulls. After the game, Brooklyn teammate Cam Thomas was asked to share his thoughts on Dinwiddie and he slipped up and said an anti-gay slur.
“I seen it, but I was like, ‘He just talking,’” Thomas said. “We already got good-looking dudes, no homo.”
Thomas immediately issued a public apology:
“I want to apologize for the insensitive word I used in the postgame interview,” he said. “I was excited about the win and was being playful. I definitely didn’t intend to offend anyone, but realize that I probably did. My apologies again. Much love.”
This moment is unlikely to go any further since he quickly apologized for what he said.
