Leave it to ESPN to ruin the first college football Saturday of the season.
With the 2023 NCAA football season officially underway, many excited fans tuned into ESPN this morning to catch the “week 0” edition of their popular “Collage GameDay” program…
Instead, they were greeted with some Formula One qualifying from the Netherlands. To absolutely nobody’s surprise, college football fans did not appreciate ESPN’s decision to delay “College GameDay,” and they let the Worldwide Leader in Sports know all about it.
And if that wasn’t already bad enough, once “College GameDay” did make it onto our television sets, many couldn’t help but vent their frustrations over the location of the crew.
Anyone who watches the show on a regular basis knows that “College GameDay” is known for making appearances at some of the craziest destinations in college football. However, this weekend they’re keeping things simple by broadcasting their first show of the season from ESPN’s secluded studio.
The good news for college football fans is this was only a one week thing. A week from now, the College GameDay crew will be in Charlotte for a heated battle between North Carolina and South Carolina.
