Back in February, the Texas Longhorns signed new head coach Steve Sarkisian to a six-year, $34.2 million guaranteed contract to turn the program around and put them back atop the college fotball world.
Things are off to a rather rough start.
Texas wrapped up spring practice with the Orange-White spring game Saturday at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium and one play has been making the rounds from that game.
QB Casey Thompson was running a 2-point conversion after the team scored a touchdown, but after faking a handoff, he tossed an ocver-the-shoulder pass to the defense in the end zone.
What the hell was that?
Thompson threw 42 passes, completing 23 for 242 yards, but had two interceptions.
Neither quarterback did enough Saturday to be called the clear favorite.
Sarkisian was hired in early January to replace Tom Herman, who was fired with three seasons and more than $15 million left on his guaranteed contract.
