MLB Commissioner Floating Possibility of Scrapping 2020 Season As Soon As Monday (TWEET)

Baseball has been back for a week, but it appears it may not go on any longer than that.

Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reported on Friday that Commissioner Rob Manfred told Major League Baseball Players Association executive director Tony Clark that baseball could shut down the season, if it doesn’t do a better job of managing the COVID-19 pandemic.

Keith Olbermann would soon take to his Twitter account and stated that shutdown of the 2020 season could come as soon as Monday.

All of this news is due to the Miami Marlins having a major outbreak of positive COVID-19 cases. Other teams have had issues that has led to Friday’s Cardinals-Brewers game postponement due to an undisclosed number of St. Louis players testing positive.

We could very well be seeing a grand opening and grand closing on the 2020 Major League Baseball season.
